Eerily you can see into Pearl Harbor’s waters what once was the great ship the USS ARIZONA
I hated thinking about the many who lost their lives when I was on vacation in Hawaii, but it is a part of the story when you come to our 50th state. In honor of those lost and the powerful military we do have here in America , I wanted to share a few shots of “our” equipment utilized by our brave men and women who have served and continue to serve nation across the universe.

You can see a part of the Arizona from the memorial deck such as this photo depicts.

This is the USS California you can see in the distant from the Arizona’s Memorial.

This is the USS MISSOURI where the Japanese signed surrender paperwork to end WWII. It is across the way from the ARIZONA.

This beauty was sitting out retired for me to photograph.

Can anyone say COBRA?
Until next time–I have a great post coming up about what to go see in Hawaii that may be unique and make your trip to the islands more memorable. Aloha.

It’s nice the ship has become a habitat, it should never be moved anyway right… A place demanding great respect while visiting. Hugs!

These now old, sunken wrecks, once proud ships, are so important both for the history, and for the wildlife that make their homes in them. They provide safety and breeding grounds similar to the natural coral reefs. I love the little fish you can see around the rusted ship.

Beautiful photos. I read a lot about the Second World War and much of the material around US entry and Pearl Harbor. It’s so nice to see some history on my feed. 🙂
