Ceiling Prayers

Many times I have felt like my prayers only reached the ceiling. Can you relate?

As I entered a hotel in Las Vegas,  the most beautiful glass ceiling mesmerized my conscious. I wondered again about God and my earnest prayers only going so far.

Do you really pray when someone asks you to? I am guilty as charged.  If you say to someone you will pray for them, you should keep your word.

Initiate your prayers like your words are flying high. This pelican surprised me how high he was flying. Maybe we should think of our own words reaching as high!

As I have aged, I have had some bad experiences causing me to have trust issues. Yet, trusting something I can’t see is vital in our relationship with faith.  Sometimes we need to stop, sit down, take a deep breath and let go.

Maybe- we will be surprised by the beauty of God’s answers to us. Maybe – a whole other world awaits.

Dedicated to those friends who prayed for me and also those who did not.  God hears our thoughts. I guess they do not need to go to the ceiling after all.   God must because our thoughts are in a brain He created.  He knew we do not always do what we ought to also.  So trusting in Him brightens my heart as flowers do when given to me as a gift.
