Official Seattle Landmark

I spent the day touching water.  It started with me fishing my car keys out of my toilet.. I know what your thinking and I will “relieve” your mind.  The water was clean.

I 90 floating bridge is an incredible historic site in Seattle.

My second water touch was my aqua therapy appointment on Mercer Island, Washington.  It went quite well today. I have a lot of work ahead though.

This is a view under the bridge.

My third water touch was the cold waters of Lake  Washington near Interstate 90. I was able to get a bird’s eye view of  the 2nd largest floating bridge in the US. The largest is seen from afar called the 520 floating bridge. They are official Seattle landmarks.

520 bridge is largest floating in the US

The bridge for I 90 was completed in 1940.  It is well travelled. My life and travels have taken me over these bridges over a 23 year span of living in Seattle.

Under the belly of the bridge

traffic flowing over bridge as I took photos is light as commuters have not got off work yet.

Beautiful view of homes along the floating bridge corridors.

I found afresh seafood for lunch! now this fresh!

why not see it all? Thank you for following along my life’s adventures!

I Am A Photographer

Pictures means different things to different people.  You see a woman taking a photo of herself.  I see a ring on the middle finger.   The ring was the subject, but so much is in the shot.  Maybe you can tell me what the heck you think of some other images of mine.

Eerily you can see into Pearl Harbor’s waters what once was the great ship the USS ARIZONA

I hated thinking about the many who lost their lives when I was on vacation in Hawaii, but it is a part of the story when you come to our 50th state.  In honor of those lost and the powerful military we do have here in America , I wanted to share a few shots of “our” equipment utilized by our brave men and women who have served and continue to serve nation across the universe.

Ocean Watching

People talk a lot about people watching. I suppose I spend my time more bird watching , but in Hawaii I had extra special views. This egret sums it up nicely. I ocean watched.

I truly admired this woman who never stopped to look at anything else, but the beautiful waves coming from the Pacific Ocean here on the island of Oahu. This is as peaceful as my mind can get. I enjoyed being on the island during the pipeline surfing contest .  Swells got as high as 70 feet. The islands had not seen that in 50 years. Fortunately the surfers were able to compete!  For myself and my traveling companions, we were content watching the surf! Scary seeing those guys and gals riding the waves, yet spectacular too. I promise soon to post some adventures I had on this trip. It was truly a wonderful time had by all.

Monday

Photography is never boring. I find beauty in everything.

Flowers. Sunsets, and nature in general bring me into my happy place.  How about you?

Sunsets in Hawaii are amazing.

Cattle Egret are found neat Chinaman’s hat where cows are nearby.  The egret love to eat the bugs off the cows.

The red-headed cardinal sure met my fancy!

Blindfolded: Easter During WWII-Part IV

World War II has been written about at length. However, when I started this series earlier in the year, I knew this slant would be very different than any written before.  I was given permission to share the love stories of the German war bride.
