Stupid Blog Writing

fullsizeoutput_3978I am driven to write. There is no exception even when unhappy with my words. I can not compare myself to those that have editors or proofreader’s to read their work before it is published.  I even hate freshly pressed endorsed by this platform.

Why do I write these days?  I received that lone comment that gives me pause.  Hearing from a woman dealing with two rare brain tumors brought tears to my eyes.  She seems to have a strong will and a determination in her spirit. If you are reading this, I am glad you decided to follow me.

Tokyo Meets Seattle

Since landing in Honolulu, I have been going nonstop. This is a place where memories are indeed made. For me fortunately, many past childhood thoughts came flooding back as I embarked on visiting my past homes on the island of Oahu. I lived here for over four years from 1969-1974. Come down memory lane with me, but first let’s stop at Pearl Harbor. It was today, I was approached by two young adults traveling from their homeland of Japan.  They  seemed to be working on some school project and handed me a paper with historical questions they politely asked me to answer.

We quickly became friends and are now following each other on Instagram. I was touched by their genuine desire to know my reactions to Pearl Harbor.  However, today we stood together gladly not allowing the past to identify who we are in the present.  As an American, I welcome my new friends to my country.

Photography II -EAGLE

eagle911My camera was so happy coming across this eagle high up in the massive trees that surround the area I live in.  Go to my Instagram named Alesiablogs to see more photos soon of this bird and others.   I consider this a blessed viewing as typically these guys are mostly down by Lake Washington.  I live five minutes from where they nest,  but it was great seeing him hanging around my home.  I love living in the Seattle area!! What a joy to view nature at its best.
